Sweet Stamp Shop Sneak Peek

Hello there and welcome to another Sweet Stamp Shop sneak peek blog hop!  If you arrived here from Donna's blog you are in the right spot!  There are three new sets being released November 2nd and I am sure you will love them!

Today we all get to share projects made with the Furry Friends Forever set!  It is cute and has lots of little woodsy images to make your cards extra special!  I chose to make a quick background with the acorn images and one of the sentiments.  Then I stamped the log image (probably my favorite image in the set), trimmed it out and added a whole bunch of pretty patterned butterflies around it.
And don't forget that you could win your very own copy of this cute set, all you have to do is hop along and leave comments on all the blogs in the hop.  And for an extra entry, share the hop on your Facebook page...but make sure to go to the Sweet Stamp Shop page and let us know!

Now, go out and hop, the next stop on the hop is Aga's blog.  And in case you get "lost" along the way, here is the whole list:

Sweet Stamp Shop Watchin' TV

Well hey there everyone, I am lucky enough to get to share a Sweet Stamp Shop card with your today using the super fun Watchin' TV set.

I hadn't gotten a chance to use that cutie TV image yet so I thought I would make a simple card showing it off!  I embossed it and trimmed it out before adding those little TV lines, cute!  The patterned paper is from Echo Park, the Splash collection, it has such great colors and some super cute patterns!
I hope you are having a wonderful week!  Thank you for stopping by today!  And if I'm not back before, have a Happy Halloween!!

Sweet Stamp Shop Thanksgiving

Today I have a fun Sweet Stamp Shop card to share using the new Melvin & Vernie set, Thanksgiving Owl-fits, full of cute images.
I just love all of the cute things Nicole included, pies, turkey legs, pilgrim owl...such adorableness!  I used the one of the leaves to create a little background and added Melvin and some simple accents.  I embossed Melvin on dark brown cardstock, doesn't that look cool?

I hope you've enjoyed this little weekend post, I know it's still a week from Halloween but I'm already thinking about Thanksgiving.  It's such a yummy holiday:)!  Have a great weekend!

Swimming For Katie

From October 10-12 some of the best stampers are joining together to support and encourage our friend and fellow stamper, Katie Renz, who is currently battling inoperable gastric cancer. If you're not familiar with her, Katie’s cancer story started just before Christmas last year. This young, beautiful, healthy, vibrant mother of 3 with her infectious smile was suddenly diagnosed with an inoperable cancer, virtually overnight. A few tummy aches and then stage 4 gastric cancer. Her first post about it is here. The idea of “Swimming for Katie” came from her recent post here.

This exclusive stamp used in my sample, designed by Becky Oehlers is available as a clear stamp, as well as a digis or a dig and SVG cut file. 100% of the profits go to Katie's fund to help her and her young family. Her husband Kevin and her three young children need our help and support. In addition to the Keep Swimming Octopus, Marianne Walker and True =D Doodle Designs both also donated digis that are for sale. Direct donations are also being accepted. Information central is HERE. This is a permanent page that will stay active at i {heart} papers with current information and the full 3 day blog hop listing, as well as the donation button.

I have been so touched by Katie's strength, grace, and character through this horrible event in her life. I am so happy to be able to do one small thing to help her and her wonderful family. I so wish we could all do more to take away this terrible illness from their lives. I hope all of these posts help Katie to keep swimming and keep fighting for more time!

I used the cute octopus stamp that Becky designed, it is just so so cute! I did some paper piecing and added lots of glitter to create this simple and cute card. All of the images available can be found here at i {heart} papers. If you do get one of these images, please consider sending a card to Katie using it, I know it will help lift her spirits! Her address is:

Operation Julie's Smile

Welcome to the amazing blog hop for Operation Julie's Smile!  If you came here from Agnieszka Malyszek’s blog, then you are in the right spot.  If not, you may want to start from the beginning at the Sweet Stamp Shop’s blog and take your time.   You have ALL WEEKEND to hop with us and win prizes!

First a little background information about Julie and her story:
“The creative blogging community is coming together this weekend to help one of our friends, Julie Ranae.  You may know her as the Design Team Coordinator for many wonderful companies from bakers twine, die cuts, rubber stamps and more.  What many people don’t know about Julie Ranae is that she has had some pretty major dental surgeries in her lifetime due to medication she had to take as a child.  It was in her plans to think about having all of her teeth  replaced at some point in the next 5 years, a decision that was pretty easy to plan out.  But then it happened…she chipped her front teeth on a weekend a month ago. The dentist told her there was no way to save them & that it was his recommendation that she give in and have them all her teeth removed soon, but for that day, they needed to get her front teeth done so her gums could begin to heal. He said he would 'work out payments with her to have ALL this work done...but when she called to make her appt for the first step of impressions, they told her the amount of money that was needed and that the 'payments' applied only to the two teeth that were extracted that day. Her husband Paul was with her & that too, was his understanding as well. So this is how she has found herself in this situation…Needing at least $4000 to get started and another $3000 to finish the process…a total of $7000.
Nicole Rixon, owner of Sweet Stamp Shop put together this benefit after finding out about this situation and before Julie Ranae knew it, it took flight!
Because she is an event organizer by trade, she has taken on the job of organizing all of the blogs in this hop as her way of ‘working overtime’ for what she needs, the same as if she were able to work overtime at an outside job to pay for the work to be done.
It is the goal of all of these generous friends & sponsors to help make this situation more do-able for our friend so that she can share a brand new smile with all of us soon."

For the hop today, I made a sweet little card using two Sweet Stamp Shop sets, Cool Scoop and Sweet Tooth.  I just love the cherry image in the Cool Scoop set and realized I hadn't even used it for a card yet!  So I inked it up right away and created this little card!  The patterned paper is from the Echo Park Springtime collection, which I got at my favorite store, i {heart} papers!!

I hope you enjoyed your stop here on the hop!  The next stop is Nicole’s blog.  Make sure you leave a comment here before you go so that you can have a chance at the amazing prizes up for grabs and if you can, please make a donation so we can help bring back a new smile for our friend.  Thank you so much for stopping by to support Julie.  Don't forget that all comments and donations are in the running for the amazing prizes!!  If you would like to see a list of the prize sponsors, just visit the Sweet Stamp Shop blog!

ETA:  I apologize for the missing information this morning on my blog, no idea what happened, it was all there last night!  Should all be fine now:)!

Tree Traditions Sneak Peek

Welcome to the final day of the Sweet Stamp Shop new release blog hop!  The sets are available TODAY, so hurry over and take a look!  They have some 'sweet' deals today too (I'll list them at the end of this post).  Onto the hop...

You should have arrived here from Nicole's blog.

I have a wintery wonderland card to share today, I embossed the tree image in white and added a glittered, white, oval frame around it.  Then I sponged white ink around it and added the snowflake images.  As a final touch, I added the red stickles to the tree and the little red sparkly oval with the sentiment.  I love simple holiday cards, I mean let's face it we are all busy.  And the holidays are usually the busiest, who has time to add so many layers and take hours to create a card...NOT me!!

Now, head to Leigh Ann's blog for more inspiration!  I hope you have enjoyed the previews this week and that you get a chance to visit Sweet Stamp Shop and take a look at those new sets!  Also leave a comment here and on all the DT's blogs for a chance to win this set!

Now, the deals' good through October 13th...Buy 3 of the new sets and get 1 set (old or new) free or take 15% off your purchase if you buy less than three sets (code:  OCT15).  Cool, huh??

Thanksgiving "Owl"fits Sneak Peek

Welcome to day three of the Sweet Stamp Shop blog hop previewing the upcoming release (tomorrow!!).

You should have arrived here from Aga's blog.

We are previewing a fun Thanksgiving set today, it features Melvin & Vernie dressed up for Thanksgiving, but also has lots of wonderful supporting images.

I chose to use the leaf images and stamp them in all kinds of fall colors (with different Distress inks), then I used Antique Linen Distress Ink on the edges and a little sponged inside.  I punched corresponding cardstock with a scalloped punch a layered them.  Then I added those little leaves and cute button as a final touch.
Now head on over to Nicole's blog for another preview of this cute set!  And don't forget to comment on ALL the blogs for a chance to WIN one of these sets for yourself!!  Thanks so much for visiting, come back tomorrow for more inspiration!

Watching TV Sneak Peek

Welcome to day two of the Sweet Stamp Shop new release sneak peeks!  Today we are showing off projects made with the new "Watching TV" set, a super cute line up of TV & movie themed images and sentiments.

You should have arrived here from Aga's blog.

I personally LOVE the popcorn border, my family eats a lot of the stuff and I can see making some cute cards with it.
I used that border to create my background, alternating yellow and red (aren't those the colors you think of for popcorn themed stuff?).  I then added my sentiment in black ink and that adorable remote.  I just stamped it with red ink on yellow paper, then added a little glue (with a glue pen) and some Martha Stewart red glitter.
Your next stop on the hop today is the queen sweetie, Nicole!  She is sure to have some fabulous inspiration over there!  And remember you can WIN a copy of this set for yourself, just leave a comment here and on all the designer's blogs for your chance!  Thank you so much for visiting!!

Owlloween Outfits

Today the Sweet Stamp Shop DT is sharing sneak peeks of one of the sets being released this week, "Hal'owl'oween Outfits" which uses the same cute owls from the Melvin & Vernie sets and dresses them up plus there are lots of other cute Halloween images included.  You should have arrived here from Aga's blog...

My card obviously uses some of the Halloween images to create a little scene.  I love those cute little bats!  This card will be perfect to add to a little treat for one of my boys.  I can even add their names later!

Your next stop on the hop is Nicole's blog!  She has some fabulous prizes lined up this week for all the blog hopping fun!  Today you can win this Halloween set but only if you comment on EACH of the designers blogs!  So get hopping, there is lots of inspiration to be had!  We will be back tomorrow for another great peek!
