Hello there! Today is my day to "doll up" my blog with a cute Sweet Stamp Shop card! I used the cutie set, Hello Beautiful, and put a few images to use creating a background. I love using unexpected images to create a background and I love the colors I used for these, pinks and green, perfect!
I used the fun sentiment "Let's Get Dolled Up and Go Out" to create this card, perfect to sent to a girlfriend inviting them out on the town. I stamped it out some glittery, shiny pink cardstock and diecut it with a label die. I added a cute felt heart and button for a simple embellishment!
Here's my card in it's entirety, such a fun and simple card to make, I just love it!!!
Thanks for stopping by today! Sweet Stamp Shop has some fabulous new releases coming soon so stay tuned for that!!

Plum Flowers
Hi there, hope you are all having a great week. I am enjoying a little TV tonight, my favorite show is on...Parenthood. It is on so late here but I stay up for it cause it's so good!! Anyhow, not much else going on outside of the usual. I made this cute card the other day using Hero Arts/Basic Grey's Luscious Bold Flowers set and PTI's Turning a New Leaf, Text Style, and Botanical Silhouettes. I used Plum embossing powder from Michael's/Recollections for that pretty flower, I love this color, it is perfect and looks so good with PTI's Simply Chartruese.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a great rest of the week!!

Sweet Stamp Shop Blog Hop
Hello there! Welcome to a very special Sweet Stamp Shop Blog Hop (that's a mouthful right?!) in honor of Nicole's father, whose birthday is today. Isn't that super sweet of Nicole to organize this for her dad? Anyhow, you should have arrived here from Leigh Ann's blog, if not you might want to back track and start at the beginning at the SSS blog. I get to use the pretty set, Hello Beautiful, for my card today. Isn't this set full of great stuff for girly cards!? I just love it all!I went in a little different direction color wise with this card, thinking about more of a vintage, pin up girl type vibe instead of the traditional pinks that I think this set was made for. Anyhow, I used Echo Park's For the Record collection and just placed some circles on my card for a fun layout. I also distressed everything with Old Paper Distress ink by Ranger, love the effect this leaves. I stamped the mirror, added the sentiment and cut it out. I added a the "You're Beautiful" part as an afterthought and I like it!
Anyhow, be sure to visit the rest of the girls today...your next stop is Julie. And here's the list just in case you need it!

Sweet Tooth
Hi there! Today I get to share a Sweet Stamp Shop creation with you, hooray! This one uses the fabulous, adorable set, Sweet Tooth! It is full of all kinds of deliciousness and I love the way Nicole wrote all the sentiments! Isn't it so cool that she hand writes all of those scripty swirly words for all of the sets?! I used the cute border image, the sweet little candies and the friend sentiment! I paper pieced those little candies with some Echo Park paper, from the Splash 6x6 pad, then added some glitter! Who wouldn't want to eat sparkly candy!
Stay tuned this week for a special fun blog hop from all the SSS designers, it's sure to be great fun!

Hello Birdy
Happy mid-week to you! Thank you for the sweet comments on my sketch card over the weekend. I had fun making it and think I will use that sketch again for sure! How was everyone's weekend? Ours was great, a little BBQ with friends, time with my sweet pregnant sister and just relaxing! I really haven't been stamping too much lately, but I did make some cute Stampendous cards the other day. I used the Feather Points and Frilly Bird Cage stamps for this one, embossing the birdcage in Sapphire. For the sentiment I used Happy Messages Perfectly Clear set and curved the sentiment around the edge of my circular frame. I love that you can do that with clear stamps! Anhow, I hope you all have a great rest of the week, maybe I will find some time to stamp:)!

Stampendous Sketch Challenge
Good Morning! I hope you are all enjoying a nice long weekend (if you're in the US) or just a nice weekend! Stampendous is so excited to be starting Saturday Challenges and I am so excited to join in the fun. The first challenge is a sketch by Wendy Price and I just love it! This month Stampendous is giving away a Cling Jumbo Romantic Border to one lucky participant. This fun challenge goes on all month long, all you have to do it create a card using this sketch and upload it to your blog or another online gallery, then go to the Stampendous blog and add a link to this post. You have until Thursday, September 29th at 11pm PST to play along. I hope you all get a chance to play, it's such a great sketch and a wonderful prize! So without further ado, here is my card:
I used the Foliate Quad Cube (which you just might be able to find at Michael's ;)) to create those pretty circles. Using the emboss resist technique, I stamped the images I wanted to use with Versamark, then embossed them with Pearl White embossing powder before punching out the circles (they are 1") and adding Distress inks. I used the Dream Text Background and a fun sentiment from the Happy Messages Perfectly Clear set to finish off the card - oh ya and some twine! Here's a little closer look at those circles, I matted each on with a coordinating color of cardstock:
There are a bunch of other talented DT ladies from Stampendous playing along today, so be sure to stop by and see all the inspiration and leave them some blog love!!
