Plum Flowers

Hi there, hope you are all having a great week.  I am enjoying a little TV tonight, my favorite show is on...Parenthood.  It is on so late here but I stay up for it cause it's so good!!  Anyhow, not much else going on outside of the usual.  I made this cute card the other day using Hero Arts/Basic Grey's Luscious Bold Flowers set and PTI's Turning a New Leaf, Text Style, and Botanical Silhouettes.  I used Plum embossing powder from Michael's/Recollections for that pretty flower, I love this color, it is perfect and looks so good with PTI's Simply Chartruese.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you all have a great rest of the week!!

Quick Card

Hi there, how can it be Friday tomorrow? This week has been busy, lots of work around here. We are all adjusting to the new school year, it is good though, Jacob likes his new class. Although I don't think he is a fan of having homework every night...more than last year for sure. Oh, well we will adjust. I thought I would quickly share a card I haven't shared yet that I made a while ago. I have hardly been creating this past week, working on a few things for my sister's baby shower but that's all. I need to get back into crafting but it is hard to find the time right now. Anyhow, my sweet friend Nerina gifted me with this years PTI anniversary set which I just love. Here is the first card I created with it...simple and pretty. I actually used my Nestabilities to create that little label reminiscent of PTI's new Half & Half set. I added just a little glitter to my flowers which I think is the perfect touch! Have a great weekend!! Thanks for visiting today!

So Many Birthdays!

This month is full of birthdays for our family...this past weekend we celebrated Jacob's 8th birthday and my hubby's 36th. Yep, Jacob was born on daddy's birthday and it was the best present ever for my hubby! Anyhow, thought I would share the cards I made them this year...first up is Jacob's, a cool card for a cool dude!!
Next up is my hubby's card, he likes embossing and dark blue so here we go...nothing earth shattering but I think it turned out fun!

Jacob starts 3rd grade tomorrow and we will get back into a routine, I don't know if I'm ready:)! I have enjoyed this summer so much! Thanks for stopping by as always!!

Simple Cards

Good Morning! I recently made a bunch of these simple thank you cards for my sister-in-law. Using Papertrey Ink's Flower Fusion #4, Think Big Favorites #4, and Polka Dot Basics II, I created a cute one layer design. I love that the Think Big series fills up the whole card, it is perfect for simple cards. I used Fresh Ink in Celery, Slate, and Red Currant to stamp everything and a tiny jewel for the center of the flower.
That's about it today, I have lots to get done. My son and hubby's birthdays are tomorrow so we are having a couple of Jacob's little friends over for a sleepover. He is so excited! Then next week school starts for us so I am trying to enjoy this slightly slower pace for a few more days! Thanks for stopping by and for all the nice comments about my Sweet Stamp Shop card last week. I will have another one for you Monday!

Personalized Cards + Sweet Stamp Shop

Happy Monday to all of you! Thank you for the warm welcome on my new blog, I am happy with it and am finding blogger a little easier from the set up standpoint, especially for a novice like me. Before I share a couple of fun cards today, I wanted to mention a super fun new stamp line coming in August. It's called Sweet Stamp Shop, maybe you've seen it...if not, I'll tell you that Nicole Rixon is the designer behind the incredibly adorable stamps. I think you will like 'em too! And if you "like" them on Facebook you could win all the stamps (8 sets!) that she is releasing in August plus a guest designer spot, awesome!!

Anyhow, today I have some fun cards to share with a concept that is fun to incorporate for a special occasion. Our family welcomed a new little niece to the family at the beginning of the month, and her name is Aubrey. My brother and SIL did not know if the baby would be a boy or a girl until she arrived so I waited to make a card for her. I thought it would be great to incorporate her name in the card, so I used PTI's Fresh Alphabet set to do so, easy and fun...the set works especially well when the name does not have any repeat letters.

I made another card for my brother when he graduated with his teaching credential this past spring, this time I used the computer to make the personalized greeting before stamping the apple and congratulations. I made the rest of the card super simple since it was for my brother! I love how it turned out though!

Thanks for visiting with me today, have a great start to the week!!
