Cool Scoop

Today I get the pleasure of sharing a new Sweet Stamp Shop creation, it is also featured over on their blog. I used the super cute Cool Scoop set to create a fun card with what I think is an unexpected color combo. I tend to see lots of ice cream themed cards in pastel colors - duh, like ice cream, right?! I thought it would be fun to create a card I could give to one of my boys and they wouldn't think it was too girly. I chose the background paper first, from My Mind's Eye (Lime Twist Fly a Kite collection) and then chose my scoop colors, nice and bright! I clear embossed everything to make it standout and make it easier to trim. I love how these images can be colored and used by people who don't really "color" like myself. Thanks for visiting today and checking out this "cool" card - have a great day!!

So Many Birthdays!
This month is full of birthdays for our family...this past weekend we celebrated Jacob's 8th birthday and my hubby's 36th. Yep, Jacob was born on daddy's birthday and it was the best present ever for my hubby! Anyhow, thought I would share the cards I made them this year...first up is Jacob's, a cool card for a cool dude!!
Next up is my hubby's card, he likes embossing and dark blue so here we go...nothing earth shattering but I think it turned out fun!

Jacob starts 3rd grade tomorrow and we will get back into a routine, I don't know if I'm ready:)! I have enjoyed this summer so much! Thanks for stopping by as always!!

Then next week school starts for us so I am trying to enjoy this slightly slower pace for a few more days! Thanks for stopping by and for all the nice comments about my Sweet Stamp Shop card last week. I will have another one for you Monday!

Sweet Tooth

And take a look at the card I made to celebrate! I used The "Core" Of It set to create this simple fun card, I love paper piecing (used My Mind's Eye Lime Twist for this one) so I got a little excited about all the possibilities with Nicole's cute cute stamps!
