Friend Like You
Happy Friday (well almost)! I have another fun Mint Motif card to share with you tonight! I love all things polka dotted so I was happy to see that Kimberly included a polka dot border in the new Beyond Borders, Too set! A perfect addition to the set for sure! I embossed the dots on pale grey cardstock to give them a little bit of shine and umph! Then I added a label and heart die cuts from the Authentique Uncommon collection. Lastly I added that fabulous sentiment from Simply Sentiments and some sparkly glitter on the edges. Remember these great sets are only available from i {heart} papers...and there is so many other great things in Kate's store!!
That's it for me tonight. I have some rice krispy treats to make for my son's school and a bit of relaxing to do! Have a great weekend!!

Felt Flowers (& Mint Motif)
Good Morning! Happy Thursday - almost St. Patrick's Day! I have a nephew and a good friend of the boys born on St. Patrick's Day so it is always a great excuse for a celebration!! I just had to come back and share another Mint Motif project I made with the latest sets! I have had fun creating with these sets and even have another card to share next week!! I also wanted to draw your attention to the fabulous felt that Kate has started carrying at i {heart} papers! I purchased a few colors with my last order and I absolutely LOVE it, especially the color (heliotrope pink) on this card! It is soft and tightly woven and cuts great - at least it did with the Spellbinders dies I used for this card.
For the card, I started by stamping the background panel with two different shades of green, overlapping the border from Beyond Borders, Too as I moved across the card. I like the two tone effect it gives the over all card. I then die cut a piece of green cardstock with a Spellbinders die from one of the banner sets, stamped the sentiment from Simply Sentiments and added it to the card. Lastly, I die cut those flowers with the Spellbinders Peony dies, added white buttons with green embroidery floss and adhered them to the card.
Have a great weekend and thanks for visiting today!!

Mint Motif Project
Hooray, today I get to share a Mint Motif project made with the two new sets coming out this week!! They are both fabulous basic sets, with more borders in Beyond Borders, Too and a ton of great sentiments in Simply Sentiments. They are available exclusively through i {heart} papers!
I used the super trendy and very versatile hexagon background pattern from the set to create a simple background. Then I trimmed out a few hexagons from the October Afternoon Sasparilla collection, I love the colors in this collection! I added a label cut from another piece of coordinating patterned paper from the same collection and stamped the sentiment in dark brown ink. I thought adding a little heart was the perfect addition to this simple, cute card!!
I hope you have enjoyed my little Mint Motif project today, now take a moment to click through to the rest of the featured blogs for even more inspiration!

Reverse Masked Tree
Happy Wednesday! I have another masked Christmas card for you today. This time I used the reverse mask from the one I shared the other day. Just used Eclipse to create my mask - this stuff is irreplaceable when it comes to masking. Again I used my Mint Motif stamps - Beyond Borders and Very Merry Sentiments - available at i {heart} papers.
Very basic card, I added glitter to outline of the tree again and this time I used gray ink for the sentiment and added one simple pop of red with the rhinestone at the top of the tree. This card is a little flatter than the one I shared the other day and therefore easier to mail. I just might make a couple more of these since I just love how they turned out!! But first I need to make a few gift tags...I am off to work on those now. Have a great day!

Masked Tree
Happy {almost} Monday everyone! The beginning of another week, the last week before winter vacation for us and another week closer to Christmas! My children are both so excited about Christmas this year, the youngest (3) is old enough to grasp the concept of the holiday and all the fun that surrounds it. My husband (random side note - I am not saying hubby anymore since apparently there are tons of people who cringe at the word! Are you one of them??) and I successfully completed our holiday shopping goals this weekend and it wasn't even overwhelmingly crowded! Just a few little things to put together and lots of holiday baking (the fun part for me) and I am finished with all my tasks.
So here is another Christmas card I made last week using Mint Motif stamps - Beyond Borders and Very Merry Sentiments; both available exclusively at i {heart} papers! I made the tree mask myself with some paper and a ruler, super simple with a bit of measuring. I then stamped the bubble border (my name for it;)) in alternating colors of green (Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint Distress inks from Ranger). I thought it needed a little definition from the rest of the card so I quickly added a glitter border (just used a fine tip glue pen to add the glitter) and a shiny red button and sparkly rhinestone at the top. I added the sentiment to the center of the tree, fits perfectly I think. The little scalloped edge on the bottom is actually a piece from Echo Park's Season's Greetings collection that I just punched. What a simple and totally reproducable card right?! And you could definitely leave the button off to accomodate mailing it.
So have a wonderful week, I have another "reverse masked" card like this one to share later in the week! And some Sweet Stamp Shop goodness too!! And by the way, I lowered the price of all the Stampendous and My Time Made Easy stamps on my sale page, email me if you see anything you like! Thanks for visiting!

Happy Holidays
We are getting into full holiday mode around here, decorated the house and will most likely go get our tree towards the end of the week. We are fortunate to live in an area with A LOT of tree farms so we have a little family adventure and go cut a tree every year. I am also putting together my holiday baking list, I love baking at the holidays. Really I love baking all the time, but the holidays are like an excuse to make lots of delicious stuff. Anyhow today I have another Christmas card to share with you, it is a hybrid of Hero Arts stamps and Mint Motif stamps.
I used the Magic of Christmas set from Hero Arts - I got it at i {heart} papers but I don't think they have it anymore. They do have lots of other great Hero Arts Christmas sets though! I stamped the smaller branch repeatedly around the cardfront to make a sort of frame for the sentiment. Then I added in the little star image randomly (I also added red stickles to the center of each star). Finally I added the sentiment from Mint Motif's Very Merry Sentiments. I love how the sentiments in this set are equally at home on the front of a card and on the inside. The layout was borrowed from a layout Maile Belles did this month, I love it! I think it is equally effective for a horizontal or vertical card.
Okay, that's about it today...have a fabulous day and be sure to check back tomorrow for the start of this months Sweet Stamp Shop release hop!

First Christmas Card
Good Morning and Happy Saturday! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Black Friday:)! We had a great Thanksgiving, filled with fun, great food, family and lots of laughter. Just a perfect day! I don't do Black Friday shopping unless it's online but I'm sure lots of you out there got great deals! So today I have a my first Christmas card of the season to share. I admit though that I do not send all handmade cards, I do picture cards and guess what? - I already did them!! Yay, first time I have ever done them in November...I used Snapfish this year cause they are having a 50% off sale on all their holiday cards and I like their designs a lot.
Anyhow, for this simple and colorful card, I used Mint Motif's Beyond Borders to create the red and green chevron pattern on the white card base. I then made a frame using a piece of red polka dotted paper from the Jillibean Soup Blossom Soup collection and Spellbinders circle and labels 1 dies. In the middle I added my sentiment from Very Merry Sentiments and lots of glittery accents, this is Martha Stewart glitter and I just used a glue pen to add it to the card. Remember the only place you can get Mint Motif stamps is at i {heart} papers! And Kate has a great sale that is continuing through the weekend, she is offering 25% off your order of $35 or more! There is so much fun stuff in the store, especially in the paper section, I would buy it all if I could!!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a fabulous weekend and I'll be back next week, promise:)!
