Merry Christmas

Another Christmas card to share with you this week before the big day!  I really enjoyed putting all of these elements together - woodgrain stamp from PTI, sentiment and heart from Hero Arts, snowflakes from My Cute Stamps and patterned paper from Echo Park.  Just a little homespun looking card made just for a good friend of mine.  Well, I'm making this short and sweet tonight and wishing you a great week!!

Sparkly Christmas

Happy weekend!  Can't believe there are only two weeks until Christmas!  A perfect time to share this cute, sparkly card I made the other night.  I have had this idea for a while and finally made time to create it.  I used Echo Park's Season's Greetings collection for the ornaments, I just punched them out using a few different sized circle punches.  Then I added some glitter, isn't it so pretty, just like Christmas!

I "hung" each ornament from baker's twine, this is from The Twinery and I love it!  The sentiment is from Hero Arts Very Merry Christmas set.  This set is full of perfect sentiments for the holidays, I love the combination of fonts used!

So there you have it, a quick and fun Christmas card.  If I made all my cards I could definitely see reproducing this one!  I did however send out all my photo cards last week, hooray!!  Now I will send a few of these handmade cards to some special friends.  My husband and I are going to attempt to finish our Christmas shopping this weekend, wish us luck!!

You Are The Best

Hey there everyone!  I am hoping you are having a fantastic week.  All is well here, this is such a busy time of year for all of us and time just seems to fly by.  I haven't been super crafty lately as reflected in my blog...but I did find time to make a card just for fun last night.  Really it has been a while since I just pulled some stamps out and made a card for the heck of it.  I had fun and used some favorites...pink, circles, pearls.  These are some new Hero Arts/Studio Calico stamps that I got from i {heart} papers the other day, I just love them!  I also got some of this pretty Authentique paper, the Uncommon line - love the pinks and greys together.

Supplies:  Stamps - You Are The Best (Hero Arts/Studio Calico); Ink - Sugar, Provincial, Strawberry (Fresh Ink), Dark Brown (Clearsnap); Cardstock - SS White, Pink Shimmer, Smokey Shadow (PTI); Patterned Paper - Uncommon (Authentique); Accessories - Upper Crest Border Punch (Fiskars), Pink Pearls (Kaiser Craft)

Thank you all for stopping by!  I will be back next week with another fun post for Sweet Stamp Shop - they have their super cute Thanksgiving Owl-fits set on sale for $6 right now too!  Have a great weekend, we will be celebrating Madison's birthday tomorrow and just spending time together.

ETA - I added some additional items to my sale page, a few more PTI stamps, buttons and some Marvy punches.  Send me an email if you're interested in anything!

Personalized Cards + Sweet Stamp Shop

Happy Monday to all of you! Thank you for the warm welcome on my new blog, I am happy with it and am finding blogger a little easier from the set up standpoint, especially for a novice like me. Before I share a couple of fun cards today, I wanted to mention a super fun new stamp line coming in August. It's called Sweet Stamp Shop, maybe you've seen it...if not, I'll tell you that Nicole Rixon is the designer behind the incredibly adorable stamps. I think you will like 'em too! And if you "like" them on Facebook you could win all the stamps (8 sets!) that she is releasing in August plus a guest designer spot, awesome!!

Anyhow, today I have some fun cards to share with a concept that is fun to incorporate for a special occasion. Our family welcomed a new little niece to the family at the beginning of the month, and her name is Aubrey. My brother and SIL did not know if the baby would be a boy or a girl until she arrived so I waited to make a card for her. I thought it would be great to incorporate her name in the card, so I used PTI's Fresh Alphabet set to do so, easy and fun...the set works especially well when the name does not have any repeat letters.

I made another card for my brother when he graduated with his teaching credential this past spring, this time I used the computer to make the personalized greeting before stamping the apple and congratulations. I made the rest of the card super simple since it was for my brother! I love how it turned out though!

Thanks for visiting with me today, have a great start to the week!!

Hello and Welcome

Hi there! Welcome to my new blog! I am finally making the switch to blogger after much deliberation. The only problem is that I have spent far to much time trying to figure out how to import my typepad data to blogger. Frustrating!!! I have far too much data from typepad, it will import easily like 1MB which only represents about 1% of my data. So here I am...I did create a flickr album and have slowly been adding cards to it so anyone can go see that if they want to see some of my older stuff.

Anyhow, I am sharing just a simple little card to say hello and thank you for visiting my corner of the world. This card is a favorite of mine, I love the colors, the white space, the grid pattern and the twine. The stamps are from Papertrey Ink (leaf), Hero Arts (flower), and Technique Tuesday (sentiment).
