Against The Grain

Good Morning!  Today I get to share another fun card I made with the new Against the Grain set from Sweet Stamp Shop!  It is such a fun set, full of possibilities, able to be used exclusively or easily combined with other sets.

I took a more masculine approach to this card, using blues and browns and a simple layout.  I am sure that men do not appreciate pink or big poofy bows, but usually they are fine with a little twine and more subdued colors.  I used the large stamp on the bottom to create a background and then added the little circles along the top, instead of stamping each individually, I lined them up on my block and stamped them all at once.  I love that Nicole included 4 separate circles in the set.

Hope you are having a great week!  Thanks for visiting today...we are finally getting some weather this week, here comes winter:)!!

  1. Just wanted to stop by say I luv your card. Its so so cute and I luv the color combo.

  2. Yes, Masculine cards are needed-great approach, Geny, AND colors! ;)

  3. Ooh, I really like this, and it feels really balanced because of the color at the bottom. And, I agree with Marlena, I'm always looking for more masculine card ideas, thanks!!

  4. Oh, Geny! I just love this card---totally amazing! I LOVE the bottom large stamp and the three little ones on top--and I LOVE the color story! PERFECT:) You rock!
